What a performance, what a result! Everybody contributed and it was a real team effort.
Adrian (8) - He made some great stops and his distribution was excellent. Flapped at one cross but apart from that, a faultless performance.
Tomkins (6) - Struggled in the first half but grew into the game. A CB playing RB is always a worry but made some vital blocks and was very strong.
Reid (7) - A few times in the first half he panicked but overall was a rock. A great partnership with Ogbonna and hopefully a sign of things to come.
Ogbonna (8) - I was really impressed, he was quick, strong and used the ball well in possession. Thought he was our best defender.
Cresswell (6) - A fairly quiet game from the ever dependable LB. Defended well but lost possession a few times.
Oxford (7) - What a debut!! I can't believe he is only 16. Did his screening job brilliantly and had the best pass completion rate of any other player (95%).
Kouyate (7) - Typical Kouyate performance. He worked so hard and is s real warrior in the middle of midfield. Great commitment for his goal.
Noble (8) - He was brilliant yesterday! What ever your opinion of him, he put in a near complete performance. He was assured on the ball, broke up play and was a vital player in getting the 3 points yesterday.
Payet (8) - CLASS! He's a proper footballer and I think he's going to be a real fans favourite. Great debut!
Zarate (6) - Scorer of the vital 2nd goal but he frustrates me; he thinks he's Messi at times and holds on to the ball. He worked his nuts off and against lesser opponents, he will have better games.
Sakho (7) - I love this guys honesty and work rate. He did not stop all game and looked really sharp. He had the beating of their two CB's nearly every time. That run in the 2nd half summed up Sakho... A real asset to the team.
Subs: Bringing on Nolan, Jarvis and Maiga really shows we are a few players short. I'm hoping the cheque book comes out again as we are 3/4 players shirt into having one hell of a squad!

I'd probably say I agree with your ratings 100% Hearney.
Although I do think Maiga and Nolan were good enough as cameos whilst two goals up, but won't disagree if he gets the cheque book out..

I'm starting to think that Rodfarts might actually be quite seriously retarded.

Why does everyone respond to this prick? Just treat it as the prattlings of an underdeveloped brain.

Amazing the stick Noble gets on here after watching him yesterday. To think even one or two were slagging off Kayoute aswell!

I'm just sorry we didn't have a corner while he was on the pitch so he could show us his standing in front of the keeper skills

I actually thought Nolan did well on Thursday until he moved further forward, yesterday when he came on he did very well too, some calm defending and some clever passing. Maybe now Sam has gone he may realise he has to work harder!
Would do ok as cover for the defensive midfield role, would still look to offload though due to his huge wage

Will slow down son.
Arsenal had an off day if they didn't they would have ripped that midfield a new arse yesterday.

Enlighten me OMM - How will he have an impact.
Yes he can talk and point a lot; apart from that, not so sure what you are on about.
9:45 and you're already boozing son!

He didn't look lost at all, he looked perfectly at home and his performance belied that of a 16 year old. He had a pass completion rate of 95%, made some great interceptions, dropped back to cover his CBs when needed and made some decent tackles. Literally every single reporter, commentator and many, many of his peers on twitter have said how well he did and how they were amazed at such an assured display from a 16 year old kid.
All apart from some cunt on WHO of course.

hooooooof
Rodfarts 3:23 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
If we can get Song in and sack Noble that would be a great move.
Noble is so poor its untrue
Rodfarts 3:27 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Not his fault but Oxford should not be out there and especially not in defensive midfield.
Rodfarts 3:33 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Noble has dissapeared from the game we have now got 10 men and its starting to notice in the middle of the park
(West Ham go 1 up)
Rodfarts 3:49 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
No need to get excited just yet Arsenal have been really poor.
Rodfarts 4:03 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
We are still far too narrow for my liking.
Rodfarts 4:06 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
TAKE ZARATE OFF FOR LANZINI
(6 mins later Zarate Scores)
Rodfarts 4:19 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Bizzare change that.
Zarate was defending well.
Rodfarts 4:46 Sun Aug 9 Re: Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Fuck me Arsenal have been shit today
forgive me if I post that more than once today - it's just I find it highly amusing that he really thinks we should take his opinion seriously.

I know this might be controversial but I think Nolan proved he might have a role to play if he accepts that it would be from the bench.
